hi Anna Beth I like your story very much.I saw in 1975 my dream car an amc pacer and in mine hometown in the Netherlands.And in may 2007 I was able to buy that same car so I did.But we have to do some work to make it as nice as yours.I think there are about 18 amc pacers driving in the Netherlands and there is also a site the dutchamcpacerclub.I wish you lots of luck with your beautiful car. Great job! My first car was a '76 Pacer. I always maintain it was a car ahead of its time. You should seriously consider running that car in One Lap of America's "Classic American" class. A Pacer with a good driver could do well in that class. Plus, One Lap is an exhaustingly good time!

My first thought was WOW. I have been an AMC fan all my life. I now have 5 AMXs for 69 to 80 and also have a similar number of Jeeps. You car is an incredible example of what can be done and should be done more. my 80 AMX is getting a 4.5 stroker put in and hopefully I can et it to look as good as your car.

Absolutely the best looking Pacer I've ever seen and awesome idea to use a modern version of that engine. I grew up with a Pacer and it had the same white bucket seat interior and we had it in the family for twenty years—just have memories, pictures and a scrapbook left.

That thing rocks! I saw your comment at the Amazon car blog and followed the link over. I had just commented that it would be great to see a Pacer with a modern engine. Congrats! I did something similar with a 1978 Mustang II, another '70s car that gets no respect. I put a 1989-93 5.0L fuel-injected engine in it. Fun stuff.
